Terms
Your work
- Your projects and progress updates are your own work, and you keep ownership of them. Don't post someone else's work as your own.
- Finds can be other people's work saved as inspiration. Don't present a find as your own work, and credit or link the original source when you can.
- By posting on DIYA, you give DIYA permission to store, display and share your content within DIYA (for example in Explore, on your profile and when someone shares a link) for as long as it's on DIYA. You still own it, and deleting it removes this permission going forward.
- You're responsible for what you post and the links you share. Finds, resources and pasted links may point to outside websites, which DIYA doesn't control.
Copyright
If you believe something on DIYA infringes your copyright, email email us with the work, the link to it on DIYA, your contact information, and a statement that you own it or are authorized to act for the owner. We'll remove it and let the person who posted it know. If you think your content was removed by mistake, you can reply to dispute it. Accounts that repeatedly post others' work without permission may be removed.
Community and safety
- Be respectful. No harassment, bullying, threats, or hate directed at people based on who they are.
- No sexual content, and zero tolerance for any content that sexualizes or endangers minors.
- No content that promotes or glorifies self-harm, violence, or dangerous challenges.
- No instructions for making weapons, explosives, or other things designed to hurt people. If a project involves real hazards (tools, heat, chemicals, sharp materials), include the safety steps others would need.
- Respect privacy. Don't share other people's personal information, or photos of them without their permission.
- Be yourself. Don't impersonate other people, makers, or DIYA.
- No spam, scams, misleading links, or selling illegal or regulated goods.
- You must be at least 18 to use DIYA.
- To report a project, find, or account, email email us.
- We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or delete accounts that break these rules, and we may report illegal content to the authorities.
Making safely
Projects, resources and links on DIYA are shared by makers, not checked by us. DIYA's reads, and any other suggestions DIYA makes, are generated automatically and can be wrong. Treat everything here as inspiration and general information, not professional advice. If you try something you see on DIYA, you do so at your own risk: use proper safety equipment, follow manufacturers' instructions, and stop if something seems unsafe. DIYA isn't responsible for injuries, damage, or loss from projects shared or attempted using DIYA.
Changes and beta
- We may update these terms as DIYA grows. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know in the app or by email.
- DIYA is in private beta and provided as-is.
